What kid doesn’t love anything that explodes? If that’s what it takes to pique their curiosity about chemistry and science, the kitchen at home is the perfect place to create chaos and serious fun, all while learning tons of interesting stuff. This kit allows kids to learn about acids, bases, the pH scale, DNA, electricity and diffusion through volcanic activities powered by lemon fuel. Cool, right? ...

I find if very difficult not to like a book about how plans for Armageddon hit a snag when a scatterbrained Satanic nun misplaces the Antichrist. Many of the reviews of Good Omens compare it to Douglas Adams. There are some similarities in that much of the story occurs outside the bounds of normal reality, it's genuinely funny, and very British. But I found the overall tone to be softer, less snarky, and more intentionally philosophical in nature. While the book is very entertaining, it also ask I find if very difficult not to like a book about how plans for Armageddon hit a snag when a scatterbrained Satanic nun misplaces the Antichrist. • Museum of Science

Czech writer Arnošt Lustig recounts in his book 3x18 that Joseph Heller told him that he would never have written Catch-22 had he not first read The Good Soldier Švejk by Jaroslav Hašek. [11] \[A_{(g)} + B_{(g)} \rightleftharpoons C_{(g)} + D_{(g)}\]

An acid is classified as "strong" when the concentration of its undissociated species is too low to be measured. [6] Any aqueous acid with a p K a value of less than 0 is almost completely deprotonated and is considered a strong acid. [19] All such acids transfer their protons to water and form the solvent cation species (H 3O + in aqueous solution) so that they all have essentially the same acidity, a phenomenon known as solvent leveling. [20] [21] They are said to be fully dissociated in aqueous solution because the amount of undissociated acid, in equilibrium with the dissociation products, is below the detection limit. • आर्थिक भूगोल

24 May 2020 | Flickeringmyth The horsepower, a unit of power with a colorful history, was devised by James Watt so that he could sell his steam engines. Watt knew that the main use of his engines would be in mines, where owners traditionally used horses to drive pumps that removed water. The easiest way to promote his new engines was to tell the mining engineers how many horses each engine would replace. Consequently, he did a series of experiments to determine how much energy a horse could generate over a given amount of time. Watt found that an average, healthy horse can do 550 ft-lb of work every second over an average working day—a unit he defined to be the horsepower (hp), and so he rated his engines accordingly. We still use this unit (the engines of virtually all cars and trucks are rated in horsepower), although we seldom build engines to replace horses these days.

The force acts on the charged particles themselves, hence charge has a tendency to spread itself as evenly as possible over a conducting surface. The magnitude of the electromagnetic force, whether attractive or repulsive, is given by Coulomb's law, which relates the force to the product of the charges and has an inverse-square relation to the distance between them. [38] [39] : 35 The electromagnetic force is very strong, second only in strength to the strong interaction, [40] but unlike that force it operates over all distances. [41] In comparison with the much weaker gravitational force, the electromagnetic force pushing two electrons apart is 10 42 times that of the gravitational attraction pulling them together. [42]

Description: Electron Configurations in Octahedral Complexes

Good Omens Car The identity of a substance is defined not only by the types of atoms or ions it contains, but by the quantity of each type of atom or ion. For example, water, H 2O, and hydrogen peroxide, H 2O 2, are alike in that their respective molecules are composed of hydrogen and oxygen atoms. However, because a hydrogen peroxide molecule contains two oxygen atoms, as opposed to the water molecule, which has only one, the two substances exhibit very different properties. Today, we possess sophisticated instruments that allow the direct measurement of these defining microscopic traits; however, the same traits were originally derived from the measurement of macroscopic properties (the masses and volumes of bulk quantities of matter) using relatively simple tools (balances and volumetric glassware). This experimental approach required the introduction of a new unit for amount of substances, the mole, which remains indispensable in modern chemical science.

Agnes Nutter was a witch in the 17th century and the only truly accurate prophet to have ever lived. She wrote a book called The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, a collection of prophecies that did not sell very well because they were unspectacular, cryptic, and all true. In fact, she only decided to publish it so she could receive a free author's copy. This copy was carefully passed down to her descendants, and is currently owned by her multi-great granddaughter Anathema Device. Agnes was burned at the stake by a mob; however, because she had foreseen her fiery end and had packed 80 pounds of gunpowder and 40 pounds of roofing nails into her petticoats, everyone who participated in the burning was killed instantly. acid rain – lluvia ocida
